[It doesn't take Aqua long to connect the name to the face. She actually blinks in surprise, since Riku had been a child when she last saw him.]
Yes, of course, I'll come. I'd love to meet her and see Riku again. Uh, but...I thought Riku would be too young? For both this war and to wield the Keyblade.
[It comes as no small surprise that Aqua wouldn't realise that, but Terra's a little more concerned about telling her some of the other things Riku told him about.]
He's fighting Master Xehanort during the time he comes from.
[There's a moment of silence on Aqua's end. The implications in those two sentences...are a lot to take in. The heavier hitting one is that the three of them failed.]
...Well, at least the χ-blade doesn't seem to have continued into Riku's time.
[That, at least, is a very good thing.]
But, if that's the case, then what happened to us if we're not fighting with Riku?
[He doesn't tell her what Riku told him, about Xehanort, mostly because he feels like it's his fault the old man is still around. Terra had been the one facing him down, should have been able to fight him off, but the faeries had pulled him away before he could.]
He hasn't told me. [Actually he very much avoided the subject when Terra asked him if he was still around.] But he told me they were coming to collect us from somewhere so we could face Xehanort with everyone.
[It's funny. He hasn't thought about Xehanort in a while, though perhaps it's just because he's been busy, but there's an undeniable rage in his thoughts when he does. And then there's the guilt that he wasn't able to stop him...he's glad when Aqua decides to leave that for now, focusing instead on talking about his successor.]
He said Yen Sid was helping them train. [His lips quirk.] Both he and Sora are keybearers, but I thought you might have had something to do with Sora, since I only chose Riku.
[Just accidentally and unknowingly gave it to a Princess of Heart. Oops.]
I had him promise to stay by Riku's side, no matter what path he chose, and to help him if ever the darkness threatened him. Riku also had to make a promise to me, to champion and protect the people he cared about with his power.
[And hopefully to not make the same mistakes the three of them did.]
[Then Sora was a real mystery. Who gave him the power? He almost suggests maybe Ven did but shakes his head, stopping himself. Did Ven even know about how to pass the keyblade down? He'd learned the same things they had but he didn't know if the Master had told him how to, or if at all. There's a small chuckle from him when she says that. Riku said that Xehanort had manipulated him, just like he had Terra, but that wasn't his to tell.]
Sounds just like you.
[Said teasingly and with a small fondness in his voice, a contrast to a month ago.]
I never spoke with Sora. I made Riku promise to keep it a secret.
[It really does feel good to laugh, to know that they're still on good terms. He nearly lost her last month, when the sickness happened. He couldn't lose her. If he did he was afraid he might give in.]
I think it was. They've been through a lot by the sounds of it. Sora was there when he needed him, I'm sure of it.
Riku's grown a lot. Though I might say that because last I saw him he barely reached my knee.
[He laughs, but he can feel it from the boy too. He's grown, not just in size but in power and heart. Terra's laughter tapers off as he closes his eyes, letting it sink in. So much had happened that he hadn't been there to support him through, but he was sure that Sora had enough support for the both of them.
Then, in a quieter voice...]
Do you think it's right for me to be proud of him?
[When she answers, it's with warmth and conviction.]
Yes. You chose him to succeed you, to wield the Keyblade. If you think he's grown a lot and don't doubt his potential as a Keybearer, then I think it's right for you to feel that way.
[If she could see the smile on his face when she says that, she'd probably tease him. Instead, it's the change in his voice that would probably give it away.]
Of course I don't doubt his potential. I wouldn't have chosen him otherwise.
[He can safely say he left the future in the right hands.]
But I'm not a Master. [There's the sound of hair rustling as he shakes his head.] I broke the rules.
[Terra can't think of anything else that symbolises that kind of thing. Even in his darker times, he clung to his wayfinder as a way of reminding himself that he was doing it for their friendship. He already told Xion they'd be there for her if she needed it, but maybe something like that would help her believe it.]
Each of us makes a part and Aqua can finish it off by putting some magic into it like she did ours and Ven's.
[ Riku's actually a little bit excited about this idea! Another thought hits him, and he adds: ]
I found out last month that Hermione makes compasses that can access the network and connect us to people on the other side, too. The monarchs can't monitor that network, so it's a little bit safer.
Maybe we could ask her to enchant the wayfinder for Xion so we can all keep in contact, no matter where we are.
voice
[There's a pause. He should've told her Riku was here a month ago but he'd been too angry and too many things had happened since then.]
Well, he's found another Keyblade wielder. They're on their way down to Leathann, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come with me to meet her.
voice
Yes, of course, I'll come. I'd love to meet her and see Riku again. Uh, but...I thought Riku would be too young? For both this war and to wield the Keyblade.

Whatever happens, we'll make sure that this time will be the last.
[She's going to gently steer the conversation away from Xehanort for the moment.]
Did Riku have a teacher? Or the new Keybearer?

I couldn't help it! They reminded me a lot of you and Ven.
[The highest possible praise she can ever give someone, honestly.]
Perhaps that had been for the best.
voice

voice
[Her tone is gentle and fond, but there's a hint of sadness in it. It's clear that she wishes they didn't have to go through so much.]
...Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how they've grown in the ten years I last saw them.
[Though, now she wonders what happened to that little girl she met in Radiant Garden.]
voice

[Where on earth would anyone be if the Keyblades hadn't been passed down to Riku and Sora?]
video, and looping in terra because THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR BOTH OF THEM
[ Because they can see him, and what are preambles anyways. ]
She's never had any other Keychains for her Keyblade.
What if the three of us made her one?
omg omg
I think that would be the best gift the three of us can give her. It can be a symbol for how we're there for her, no matter the distance.
[Or alliances, though she's careful to keep from saying that.]
I've never made a Keychain before, but I'm willing to help and do my part.
swoops in b/c omg
